Voice Of My Own (VOMO) is based in the Scottish Borders and is part of the Live Borders charitable trust. We support young people to create their own media through the medium of film as well as online television and radio. VOMO helps young people to express themselves about issues and themes which are important to them. They also gain the chance to learn exciting new skills and develop their confidence. Above all everyone has a lot of fun and has the chance to make new friends.

After several months of planning, VOMO Radio was launched at the beginning of 2017 by a group of dedicated young people with an interest in all things radio. The project is supported by Scottish Borders Council Community Learning and Development Service with a focus on giving young people a voice to talk about issues which interest them. The team plan to create a weekly show but over the forthcoming months they hope to extend this. Future content should include live performances from young musicians, outside broadcasts from youth events and a range of fun new shows.

If you’re interested in taking part, or would like VOMO Radio to feature your youth group or club, then please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you so check out our contact page.
